Talk..Don’t Walk has been incredibly successful, since its formation in April 2004, it has reduced the number of runaways in Warrington by 76%. With over 100,000 children running away each year, we can all learn from best practice and procedures.

In the last three years (April 2004 to March 2006), accumulative cost saving made by having such a service available as Talk..Don’t Walk is £3,190,625.14

Over the 3 years since Talk..Don't Walk started, we have reduced the number of runaways in Warrington from 1235 in 2003 to 297 in 2006, an overall reduction of 76%.

Through reduction in crime alone, Cheshire constabulary has saved £847,423.59 over the last three years.
